Driven by the global green and low-carbon transition, China and Indonesia continue to deepen cooperation in environmental protection. From August 13 to 15, 2025, the 2025 Zhejiang Service Trade Exhibition (Indonesia) was successfully held at the Jakarta International Expo. A total of 12 Zhejiang environmental service enterprises attended the exhibition, showcasing their technological strengths in environmental governance and creating opportunities for their expansion to emerging markets in Southeast Asia.
With a robust industrial foundation, Zhejiang boasts numerous environmental protection enterprises, advanced technologies, and top-tier professionals. The province also enjoys first-mover advantages in environmental assessment and planning, monitoring and consulting, seawater desalination and restoration, and green engineering design. The province's green trade continues to thrive, with exports growing annually and over 10,000 export enterprises—many being comprehensive environmental service providers.

Under the theme of "Technology Drives Green Trade," Zhejiang exhibitors presented a series of advanced technologies and products and innovative solutions across core industrial chains, including intelligent water systems, solid waste recycling, seawater desalination, intelligent detection platforms, and digital industrial & environmental services, comprehensively demonstrating the full-chain capabilities of Zhejiang's environmental protection industry. During the exhibition, innovations exhibited by Zhejiang enterprises such as full-process membrane-based water treatment solution, organic waste recycling, full-process customized water treatment solution, integrated intelligent monitoring and cloud services, and intelligent light control system for water affairs drew significant attention.
During the three-day event, Zhejiang exhibitor's booths attracted a steady flow of professional visitors and potential clients from Indonesia and other countries and regions. Several local Indonesian enterprises have reached preliminary purchasing intentions with Zhejiang exhibitors.Beyond on-site exhibitions and negotiations, a number of industry forums and exchange activities were also held. Zhejiang delegates actively engaged with international peers to share experience and explore collaborations.
This presence of Zhejiang enterprises at the Jakarta exhibition marks a milestone for Zhejiang's environmental services in global markets. On the one hand, by showcasing advanced technologies and solutions, Zhejiang elevates its international influence and paves the way for more local environmental companies to venture into international markets. On the other hand, through this exhibition, Zhejiang strengthens exchanges and cooperation with Indonesia and other countries and regions in environmental protection, laying the groundwork for future joint projects, technology exchange, and talent development. As global environmental priorities rise, Zhejiang's green enterprises are poised to play a bigger role in the international green trade and contribute their strength to Asia's green trade.(*)
