Jakarta, 22 June 2025 — In celebration of Jakarta’s Anniversary, The Grove Suites by Grand Aston hosted a vibrant and heartwarming event that highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Betawi. The event kicked off with the “Papan Harapan”, a hope wall where guests were invited to write their aspirations and wishes for Jakarta. This symbolic gesture served as a meaningful tribute to the city's continued growth and unity.

In a special segment titled “HOD Serves with Traditional Betawi”, the hotel’s Heads of Departments dressed in traditional attire and personally served guests a delicious array of Betawi buffet dishes, from Soto Betawi to Kerak Telor, creating a uniquely immersive cultural experience.

A Coloring Competition for kids brought an extra spark of joy and creativity, while the Content Creation Contest encouraged participants to capture and share the spirit of Jakarta’s celebration through photos and videos.

One of the standout moments of the event was the Talk Show and Q&A Session titled “Stories of Jakarta.” Inspiring speakers took the audience on a journey through Jakarta’s rich history, cultural heritage, and its transformation into a modern metropolis — sparking a lively and insightful dialogue.

The session was honored by the presence of Bang Biem Triani Benjamin, Chairman of MANTAB (Masyarakat Adat dan Tradisi Betawi), and Mr. Puspla Diradjaya, Head of the Cultural Development Division at the Jakarta Provincial Department of Culture.

Their engaging conversations with the audience covered not only the roots of Betawi tradition but also a hopeful look into the future — sharing visions and aspirations for a better, more progressive Jakarta.
